Thai Buddhism

A Buddhist monk helps dress a newly-ordained monk in an orange robe at Wat Benchamabophit (the Marble Temple) in Bangkok. Thai Buddhist males over 20 years are expected to ordain as a monk at some point during their lives and refrain from killing living beings, stealing, unchaste conduct, false speech, intoxication, eating at forbidden times, dancing, singing, wearing garlands, using perfumes, using high or large beds and accepting gold and silver.
