About Dave Getzschman
Dave Getzschman (pronounced GETCH-man) is a Los Angeles-based photographer providing fresh, compelling imagery for clients spanning the editorial, corporate and commercial markets. In 2005, his work as a staff member of the Ventura County Star earned him runner-up California Press Photographer of the Year. His iconic 2006 photo of presidential candidate Barack Obama earned him honors from Pictures of the Year International, the premier annual showcase of the world's finest photojournalism. His images have been published in Time, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, Maxim, Photo District News and every major newspaper in America.
Dave is also an associate of Chrisman Studios, one of the top ten wedding photography outfits in the world, according to American PHOTO magazine. In the last 12 months, Dave was listed among the "Rising Stars of Wedding Photography" by Photo District News, "The New Guard of Wedding Specialists" by San Francisco Brides Magazine and was the only American cited as one of the five best wedding photographers in the world by the Italian Luxury Magazine "Just Married."
